Diane Franklin Interview: Her “Excellent” Adventures, Curls, and Comedy as a Film Icon

Posted on April 29, 2022March 19, 2024 By studiochat

Studio Chat is happy to share an interview with actress, author, and 80’s film icon Diane Franklin. Diane is best known for her roles as the beloved French exchange student Monique in Better Off Dead (1985), a regal “medieval babe” Princess in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989), iconic curly-haired love interest Karen of The Last American Virgin (1982), and recurring appearances in the Amityville horror series (1982 & 2018), just to highlight a few classics. Her career has spanned a range of film and TV that now comes full circle as she coaches growing actors and directors, while continuing to bring her vibrant energy to new film roles, and telling her stories in autobiography form.

Studio Chat Host Chelsea spoke with Diane about her range of experiences in the entertainment industry, her books sharing empowering messages to the next generation, nostalgia and favorite moments from her best-known films, how show biz runs in her family, and more. Check out the video below:
